The winner is…a pot of gold!
In one of my previous posts I asked you all to vote on the creation I should make for this week’s post and you all chose a pot of gold.
For this cookie I used a chocolate cut out cookie recipe rather than make a vanilla cookie and color it in black. I also used Wilton’s Sparkle Gel, to decorate the gold.
For good measure I also made some shamrocks to keep the pots of gold company.
Here’s my chocolate cookie recipe, and thanks for voting!
1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 stick butter
Heat butter in the microwave until soft. Beat all of the ingredients together until smooth. Once combined, split the dough in half and wrap each half in plastic wrap. Let the dough chill in the fridge for 2 hours or until firm. Roll out the dough, using cocoa powder to prevent sticking. Cut out cookies and bake for 5-7 minutes at 350 degrees.
